1. The Beastie Boys, “Beastie Revolution”

One of the goofiest tracks they ever recordedโ€”and that’s saying somethingโ€”โ€œBeastie Revolutionโ€ is off of MCA, Ad Rock and Mike D.’s second release, a three-song EP called Cookie Puss, the title track of which is a song prank calling a Carvel. โ€œBeastie Revolutionโ€ has nods to Sister Nancyโ€™s โ€œOne, two, operator dat ah youโ€ and Black Uhuruโ€™s โ€œParty In Sessionโ€ (with the slide whistle riffs). Itโ€™s also most likely the first American record to include the phrase, โ€œYa blind ya bloodclat, fire bun yaโ€ and definitely the only reggae song about a fictional Chinese restaurant. Bim!
