DIS NUH STOP PLAY/ALL MONTHS AND YEARS AFTER ELECTION DAY: Ninja has other classic reality tunes like โ€œMandela Come,โ€ celebrating a newly freed Nelson Mandela’s visit to Jamaica, and โ€œMore Reality,โ€ where he encourages his fellow deejays to not abandon culture lyrics. However, his reality opus โ€œNa Go Love Itโ€ is where he is literally pleading with all of his fellow Jamaicans to ‘vote and nuh fight.’ In a country known for political violence, this is a real problem, and Ninja has always been very apolitical as opposed to some of his deejay forefathers like Josey Wales and Supercat. Using a hook from the folk song ‘Love of the Common People’ (which was covered in a reggae style numerous times) Ninja cemented his place as the people’s champ.
