Three days after the world premiere of Charly Blacks and J Capri’s “Whine & Kotch,” the always prolific RVSSIAN (the dancehall producer formerly known as Russian, if you didn’t get the memo) and Head Concussion Records just passed us another video, this time for the new Kartel tune, “Ever Blessed.” Not much more to this one than a girl rolling around a bed in her underwear, but that’s all most of you dirty dogs want from a video anyhow, so here you go. Cop “Ever Blessed,” which shows Kartel in his mellow, romantic mode, on iTunes here, and stay tuned for LargeUp’s exclusive interview with RVSSIAN.

Melo-X, the East Flatbush, Brooklyn-raised Jamaican, wears many hats. Fresh off his recent collaborative LP with singer Jesse Boykins III, the rapper/DJ/producer (and cousin of Jah Vinci, formerly of Vybz Kartel’s Portmore Empire), has a new EP on the way, GOD: LoFI.

OK, now we know what Vybz Kartel’s first shopping trip will look like when and if the jailed dancehall star—and noted Clarks hoarder—regains his freedom. In what is sure to be a well-received move in dancehall circles, Clarks Originals is set to introduce camouflage editions of their classic Wallabee and Desert Boot. The shoes are part of Clarks’ new Clarks Hybrids series, described by Hypebeast as “an effortlessly smooth blend of classic chukka and desert boot uppers paired with the sole technology from Clarks‘ newly developed sportswear division.” No specific release info, but Hypebeast says the camo Clarks will be available “at select retailers soon.”

The World Boss, Vybz Kartel has dropped a new video for his song “Weed Smokers,” and like the title and Vybz himself, there is nothing subtle about it. The video starts with a cameo from RVSSIAN (formerly Russian), one of the maddest producers in the game whose name is on this track, and continues with short clips of girls, parties and lots and lots of weed smoking. The chune is nice and the video has a very definitive message. Check it out below:
