With Afrobeats blowing up worldwide and soca heading in new and exciting directions, the hybrid sound known as Afro Soca took flight this Trinidad Carnival season, via hits like Olatunji’s “Oh Yay” and Runtown, Wizkid and Machel Montano’s “Bend Down Pause.” We launched our monthly LargeUp Mix Series in March with this contribution from DJ Jam Central, running through all of the key tracks on both the Africa + Caribbean side of things.
