As much as it seems like females get left out of the conversation when it comes to reggae and dancehall, the musicโ€™s history is filled with notable female deejays: too many to even make our list. Weโ€™d be remiss if we didnโ€™t also mention pioneering females Mother Liza (of Nigger Kojak and Mother Liza fame) and Junie Ranks (of โ€œBig and Readyโ€ fame). And, on the more modern end of things, the prolific and influential Cecile and Timberlee and Natalie Storm of TNT and Ward 21โ€™s Badda Badda Bunch, have brought us much enjoyable tunes.
