We had a hunch that we’d be seeing King Jammy’s on the road a lot more after his epic late-night dub session  stole “the show” on October’s Welcome to Jamrock Cruise. Though rightly considered a national treasure in Jamaica, JA’s king of sound is ripe for rediscovery by the broader music world. It seems that’s happening. The King and his Waterhouse, Kingston studio recently turned up in a Rolling Stone feature on Major Lazer, and he was just announced on the program for this year’s Red Bull Music Academy in New York.

And, we can now tell you as well, he’ll be joining Alborosie on the road throughout the summer. The occasion is Dub of Thrones, a new joint album project with Albo set for release April 14th, on Greensleeves Records. The master and the maestro go dub fi dub on the soundclash-styled project, raising the ante from track to track. We’ve got the first two leaks from the LP, which boasts Game of Thrones-inspired cover art from legendary designer Tony McDermott, right here for the first time. First up is an ethereal mix from Jammy’s titled “Winter of Dub,” followed by “Cinderella Dub,” a heavy, heavy modern update of Errol Dunkley’s “Black Cinderella” from Alborosie.
