Since bursting onto the scene in the 2002, Donaeโ€™O has enjoyed widespread success within the U.K., with songs such as โ€œBounce,โ€ the massive funky house hit โ€œParty Hardโ€ and โ€œDevil In a Blue Dress.โ€ The latter earned him a spot at Glastonbury Festival โ€“ one of the worldโ€™s biggest music events.

Donaeโ€™Oโ€™s latest, witty offering โ€œMami No Likeโ€ marks a triumphant return to the forefront. Currently enjoying widespread rotation in UK clubs and on major platforms such as the BBC and Capital XTRA โ€” watch the video here โ€” the track boasts a fusion of Funky House and Afrobeats, with a tinge of Soca.

Speaking of which, the half-Guyanese, half-Ghanaian artist has paid further homage to his roots with officialย โ€œMami No Likeโ€ remixes for the Caribbean and African markets, respectively. For the reggae remix, he calls upon Jamaican badgyal Ceโ€™cile and viral sensation Gully Bop to bring some bashment vibes to the track.

From the look of things, โ€œMami No Likeโ€ is out to set the summer parties ablaze, particularly with Nottinghill Carnival just around the corner; plus, the song is beginning to make waves in the United States and the Caribbean. As Donaeโ€™O commented: โ€œthe song is meant to be fun and is made to make you danceโ€

Definitely one for the ravers.
