Back like we never left, Mixtape Mondays is here to bring you more music with selections from The UK, Sweden (by way of Gambia) and San Francisco. From whine & kotch to pick & choose, we take a 360 trip into reggae and dancehall as well as preview some brand new music from this guy. Run chune below:

The Heatwave, Bashment Twerkout: Get ready to bubble and wine up in the break room with this one. As you may have noticed just about everywhere, everyone from your lil sis to your grandma is up on the latest trend of dutty dancing... If you’re familiar with Southern rap, NOLA bounce and Miami bass, you know this breed of dancefloor winery has been going down for decades, with one of its strongest bloodlines in Jamaican dancehall culture and all-night soundsystem dances throughout the Caribbean. Our UK affiliates at The Heatwave know just what it takes to get the rave sweaty and gyals ready to bruk it down, so it’s only fitting they put together this mix for your latest dutty dancing soundtrack via their podcast. Deejay Theory, Guest Mix for The Toddla T Show on BBC Radio 1: Whoa gosh… I recently had the serious honor of putting together a quick guest mix for the big man Toddla T for his weekly show on BBC Radio 1, taking the opportunity to premiere a heap of exclusives and upcoming remixes. Mostly dancehall business here with a couple classics to start things out before moving into some remixes and edits from Mavado & I Octane, Chan Dizzy for Faction Sound Crew, Blackout JA & Kush Arora, Red Fox, a club version of QQ’s huge party tune “One Drop” and  more. Definitely excited to share this and give a taste into some things I’ve been working on, drop a line on Twitter or Facebook and gimme some signal! Stream and download below, tracklist here.

Thunder Clash Sound, Gimme Likkle Throwback: Rounding out the session this week is a solid throwback mix from Sweden/Gambia’s Thunder Clash Sound. Endorsed from the jump by Mr. Singy Singy himself Tarrus Riley, the mix holds a vibe with a stack of reggae favorites and b-sides from throughout the 80’s and 90’s from the likes of Sanchez, Beres Hammond, Buju, Coca Tea, Sizzla, Tony Rebel, Admiral Tibett and more. An easy download if you’re looking for some classics in the mix. Stream and download below, tracklist here.
