Words by DJ Theory –

Hopefully you had a solid weekend in your respective corners everyone?!  Back to work over here at Mixtape Mondays with a commemorative release from Italy via Miami, a flavorful mix of Spanish vibez from England and a dancehall delivery from Trinidad. Download and bubble up below!

Kalibandulu, Jamaica.50 Rmx CD: Italian reggae dancehall ambassadors Kalibandulu stay fully up to the time with the tunes and mixes, churning out rapid and consistent CDs month after month. For this round they’ve joined forces with South Florida music and promo team WhyIParty to commemorate the historic 50th Anniversary of Jamaica set to take place in just over a month. (We’ll be covering plenty more on JA’s Golden Jubilee here on LargeUp, so definitely stay posted on all that.) For this tape, Kalibandulu drop straight shellings as always, going in with the maddest exclusives and heavyweight selections. Over an hour of current dancehall, bashment and hip hop on this one, laced with a heap of dubs and original remixes. From Miami to Italy to Jamaica di ting sell awwff.  Stream and download below, tracklist here.

Sensible Dancehall, Señor, ten piedad!: Oxford, England-based reggae and dancehall blog Sensible Dancehall (or SNSBLDNCHL) make their MM debut this week with Señor, ten piedad! (lawd have mercy!). This one’s a treat for all our Spanish speaking readers, uniquely comprised of all Spanish-language reggae, dub, reggaeton and dancehall, new and old, from Venezuela, Costa Rica, Panama, Argentina, Chile, Puerto Rica and Jamaica. With tracks from Samaga, Los Rakas, El Boys C, Blackstyle, El General and more, this mix was inspired by some recently acquired language lessons from the selector, as well as my homeboy DJ Stepwise  whose Galang Radio show gives the Latin American audience from Oakland to Argentina an authentic Jamaican style mixshow every week. This is the first installment of a new SNSBLDNCHL mix series, so we look forward to seeing what’s up next.  Stream below, info here, download here.

J Lava, F.U.E..L for Diesel: Port Of Spain’s J-Lava of DEI Musicale makes his MM debut as well this week with a sick dancehall mix, F.U.E.L for Diesel (Feeding Ultimate Energy Levels). He’s been cranking out tapes from house to hip hop to moombahton (which is definitely starting to reach the Caribbean more) and delivers in the dancehall arena for this one with 45 tracks of straight heat.
