Natalie Storm has kept a low profile this year but our Punany Monologues columnist recently sat down with MTV Iggy and gave her first interview in some time. Among other topics, writer Beverly Bryan asked her about her punanilogue hustle. Here’s what she had to say:

I’ve always been a writer. From when I was a little girl I was writing short stories. English literature was one of my best subjects in school and I always wanted to do a little bit of writing. I started writing the Punany Monologues for myself actually. I was going to make my own Website for it, but I couldn’t find the time. Then Martei Korley from LargeUp, he asked me if I wanted to provide some content for the website and I said, “I have the perfect thing but I’m not sure if you are going to like it because it’s a little bit slack and a little bit quirky.” And then he read them and he was like “This is awesome.”

Yes, the Punany Monologues are awesome, and so is Natalie. Catch up on the whole series here, and read the rest of “Dancehall Dirty Talk with Natalie Storm” at MTV Iggy.
