As posted in this space, I had the pleasure not so long ago to speak with reggae survivor Jimmy Cliff for GQ Magazine‘s music issue. With Jimmy’s first release in years–an EP called Sacred Fire, produced by Rancid’s Tim Armstrong–dropping November 29th and a serious comeback buzz in the air, neither I nor GQ are the only ones paying attention. Most recently, Cliff stopped by the set of Tavis Smiley’s PBS talk show to give us a glimpse into the concept behind the fiery title. Watch below:
