Monday, September 6th was the West Indian Day Parade on Brooklyn’s Eastern Parkway, and although it was a long weekend of festivities, there’s always room for some Rice and Peas! New York’s most diverse dancehall affair goes down every first Monday of the month at Sway in Tribeca and there was a lot of star power inna di building.
On top of the crazy DJ lineup, special guests like Shaggy, Niki Chin, Laden, Chino, Juju (of The Beatnuts), Richie Loop (who performed his #1 song “In My Cup”), super producers Stephen “Di Genius” McGregor, Just Blaze and Benny Blanco, DJs Kue, Peewee, Bobby Konders (Hot 97), radio personality Cherry Martinez (105.1) and so many other heavy hitters were there we just had to share this slideshow with you…
