For this week’s Selector’s Choice, we caught up with Jillionaire of Major Lazer or, as we know him, Trini Chris. When the longtime LargeUp contributor and founder of our new favorite label Feel Up Records isn’t playing the world’s biggest music festivals with Major Lazer, you can catch him on the road bringing Chicken & Beer to the masses with his party series of the same name, which hits Studio No. 7 in Atlanta this weekend.

Easy now.

It’s your boy Trini Chris aka #CHIXGOD checking in from the road. This summer has been crazy, and Chicken & Beer keeps getting better and better every weekend. We’re heading to Atlanta this Sunday, and I just wanted to share with you my top tunes in the juggling right now.

Weird Together – Bounce To The Beat
Nick Dwyer is my favoritest Kiwi and he’s been creating a new vibe down in New Zealand, merging world music influence from Africa to the Caribbean to South America. I’ve been playing this out a lot recently.

As We Spoke – Murdering Style
Swedish electro space dancehall. Say no more.

Dom Dias – Junglemejunglehard
This kid CRUSHED Chicken & Beer Montreal and Toronto. It’s reggae dancehall vocals over throbbing jungle terror rhythms — I like to think of it as dancehall on acid!

Saint Ballantine – Fashionably Late
The title pretty much sums up my whole life, but I love this new project from Sene and Amrit.

Shabba Ranks – Ting A Ling (Deejay Dario Bootleg)
Dario is one of the nicest guys I’ve met this year and a talented dancehall and tropical bass producer out of Tenerife — they have a crazy carnival there, just like Trinidad! Look out for a collaboration coming soon, but for now check out this Shabba Rank re-fix that we’ve been playing at ML afterparties all summer.

Future Fambo – Bloodclaute Song
Big artist make big tunes and this future dancehall banger is gonna be running the route for the rest of 2015.
