Just when we thought there wasn’t anything interesting happening in dancehall, from out of nowhere comes Gully Bop, aka “Countryman.” Little known just weeks ago, the wizened Jamaican deejay (we don’t know his bio but we’re guessing he’s closer to 40 than 20) has been killing the streets in Jamaica, first with “Pussy Specialist” (cleaned up for the radio as “Body Specialist”) and now with “Dem Nuh Bad Like Me.”

With just a handful of tracks to his credit, the enigmatic “newcomer” with an old-school deejay style—he reminds us of Major Mackerel without the sound effects— is looking like one of the biggest draws at this year’s edition of Sting. “Dem Nuh Bad Like We” has also caught the attention of our doops, Major Lazer general Walshy Fire, who linked with Italy’s Kalibandulu to remix the track for your EDM set/playlist. Check it below. My God!
