We’re super hyped to present Fiyah Fox, the first-ever mixtape from Brooklyn/JA dancehall legend Red Fox this Thursday, Nov. 21. DJ Shirkhan and Sammy K of Safari Sound have gathered 39 tracks of brand-new material, recent catalog, classic hits and a few surprises from Red, a deejay still easily at the top of his game.

And, oh yes… did we mention we’re having a bashment party.

To celebrate the release of Fiyah Fox Thursday night, we’re heading to The Delancey on NYC’s Lower East Side with the Brand New Machine crew—Federation Sound’s Max Glazer and Kenny Meez, and DJ Autograph—alongside Deadly Dragon and the Downtown Top Ranking crew. Manhattan’s best bi-level reggae/dancehall party moved to its new home two weeks ago, and they’ve already settled in nicely, so this one is sure to bring out all the New York Rude Boys and Gyals. Things kick off at 10 p.m.; as always, there’s no cover.

…And that’s not all. Before the party, Red will be our guest on this week’s episode of the LargeUp Sessions, from 6 to 8p.m. EST on RadioLily.com. Guest selector DJ Rampage and LargeUp editor Jesse Serwer will be running through tunes from the mixtape, discussing highlights of the past and present, and, of course, rinsing all of Red’s classics.

We’ve already let loose a first Fiyah Fox leak, “We Run the Party,” featuring Red and Screechy Dan trading verses over the RZA beat from Method Man’s Wu-Tang anthem “Bring the Pain”; you can download that here. On the dancehall side of things, we’ve got more fiyah to whet your appetite today: download “The Place I Come From” on one of the year’s most slept-on dancehall riddims, the Boom riddim, below.
