To make sure you’re properly prepared for armagideon, top-ranking British sound The Heatwave just sent us their Last Party on Earth mixtape. At 75 minutes long and 84 songs deep, the mix is stacked not just with dancehall, but hip-hop, R&B and more, the unifying theme behind all of the selections being the idea of letting go. Actually we’re not even sure what ties Missy Elliot’s “Get Your Freak On,” MJ’s “Billie Jean” and Mavado’s “Star Bwoy” together, but we do think Shabba Ranks’ “Caan Done” was a savvy selection.
