LargeUp Premiere: Nickodemus x Jahdan Blakkamoore – “Livin Your Dream”

Words by LargeUp Crew

Brooklyn-Guyanese reggae kingpin, and long-time friend of LargeUp, Jahdan Blakkamoore connects with veteran NYC DJ/producer Nickodemus (of Turntables on the Hudson fame) for some serious Afro-soul vibes on “Livin Your Dream.”

“Sometimes the song and vocalist are a natural fit,” says Nickodemus. “When I played the track for Jahdan, he came over to my studio the next day and straight away sang the first line. It was exactly what I was looking for without giving him direction. He’s a truly gifted and intuitive artist”

The track, with its “Soul Makossa” vibe, is one of many eclectic genre fusions on Nickodemus’ upcoming album, A Long Engagement, out May 4th on Wonderwheel Recordings, which you can pre-order right here.
