Mixtape Mondays: DJ Puffy, DJ Roy, DJ Marcus Williams

Words by Deejay Theory

Whether you’re in recovery mode from a long weekend (or still celebrating a triumphant Super Bowl win as this New Englander is) we’ve got your whole squad covered as always at #MixtapeMondays with new music. We still a win!

DJ Puffy, Prime Time Live 021: Barbados’s own DJ Puffy has taken his work to higher heights this year as the latest DJ (and first repping the Caribbean) to take the highly coveted Red Bull Thre3style World Title in Santiago, Chile. His unique style utilizes all the tools of a ‘party rock’ DJ while also maintaining an authentic Caribbean identity throughout. Get familiar with the latest mix in his Prime Time Live series and start to familiarize yourself with a big DJ youth on the scene. Stream and download below.

DJ Roy, Blood Money: One of Jamaica’s most consistent mixtape distributors DJ Roy comes back with the Blood Money mixtitled after the big bad chune from Protoje that has been making quite a stir in reggae and dancehall circles even before its recent release. Roy starts the ting with the newest reggae and one drop before shifting into all the latest dancehall singles and riddims currently shaking up yard and abroad. Stream below.

DJ Marcus Williams, The Hit Show Series (Soca 2017): It’s only right that we ram at least one big soca mix to round things out as the road to carnival 2017 marches on into February and rapidly approaches game time. Repping T&T to the fullest DJ Marcus Williams comes through with everything you need to hype up and get ready including necessary anthems from all the stars and 2017 favorites. As always, we’re not responsible for any uncontrollable wining on coworkers – we actually endorse it. Stream and download below.
