Shabba Does “Shabba”: Listen to A$AP Ferg’s Top Ranking Remix

Words by Natalie Weiner—

We thought it was awesome when Shabba Ranks acknowledged A$AP Ferg’s eponymous tribute song by appearing in the rapper’s “Shabbavideo — but now he’s taking it to the next level. The new remix released over the weekend starts off with a verse by the one and only Shabba himself (R-A-N-K-S), and also features Migos and Busta Rhymes alongside Ferg, of course. With a lineup like that, it had to be great — and it definitely delivers. If you’re just now finding out about Shabba from “Shabba,” check out some of our posts on the Dancehall Emperor to get a sense of his crazy huge impact of Caribbean music, and the world in general. And who knows — now that they’ve done a video and a remix together, the next logical step is a show, right? We’re crossing our fingers…
