Night Moves: Watch St. Thomas Rapper Paebak’s “5 A.M. in the V.I.” Video

Words by Kaya.lah—

Earlier this summer we introduced you to Rock City (St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands) rapper Paebak, via his infectious single “VI OGs.” The VI’s hottest spitter returns with a heated take on Drake’s “5AM in Toronto,” one of the canvases of choice for the lyrically gifted this year. Lyrically, Paebak taps into the beat’s early-morning vibe on the track, the first from his upcoming mixtape History, while the video features visuals of the scenic St. Thomas waterfront at what actually appears to be 5 o’clock in the morning.

Watch the video below, and get the audio here. As a LargeUp bonus, check out Paebak in a more cultural light alongside reggae artist Pressure Buss Pipe with a studio performance of “One More Try.”
