Photos and Video by Martei Korley—
As part of their five-island Caribbean tour last month—otherwise known as “Mutiny Aboard the Molly Roger”— Major Lazer visited Kingston, Jamaica, for a free show at the University of West Indies’ student union.
LargeUp was there to capture the electric atmosphere, which included all the crowdsurfing, hamster wheel surfing and general mayhem people have come to expect from a Major Lazer show—just with a Jamaican twist. JA stars Popcaan and Chronixx joined Diplo, Jillionaire, Walshy Fire and dancers Mela and Lafayette on stage, ensuring, well, more madness. Watch the webisode below to see how things went down, and scroll through Martei Korley’s photo series for the full effect.
