Words by LargeUp Crew—
This Thursday night, Kingston Noir editor (or perhaps we should say “producer”) and noted Jamaican author Colin Channer will stop by Miss Lily’s Variety in NYC for a book reading and reasoning session, from 7 to 9pm EST. We’ll be broadcasting the event live on a special extended version of our RadioLily show, The LargeUp Sessions (which starts at the usual time of 6pm EST), with DJ Gravy and Sherman Escoffery. This event is, of course, open to the public, so if you’re in NYC Thursday night, make sure to stop through Miss Lily’s Variety and say hi. In the meantime, get the vibes going early with Colin’s Toppa Top 10 “noir” reggae selections (which we’ll be running in full Thursday night), read Sherman’s interview with the man here, and keep your digital radio locked to RadioLily.
