LargeUp TV: Better Mus’ Come at Lincoln Center

Words by LargeUp Crew, Sound by Jakeyland Productions, Photos and Video by Kevin Ornelas and Erich Onzik—

On a recent Thursday evening at New York’s renowned Lincoln Center, LargeUp was proud to be the media sponsor of the East Coast premiere of Storm Saulter’s award-winning film Better Mus’ Come, presented by ImageNation Cinema Foundation and the Film Society of Lincoln Center. The screening sold out, while Mr. Vegas’ acoustic performance was met with unanimous approval, creating a distinct sense of excitement throughout the crowd. A strong turnout of middle aged and older Jamaican patrons were visibly joyful and extremely proud to see  Jamaican people, music and culture set on a proper platform.

Better Mus’ Come is a must-see film that you’ll have to check when it comes to a theater and/or DVD player near you but if you weren’t among the fortunate ones present at the premiere, you can now see what you missed (all except the actual film, but we did include portions of the trailer).

We’d once again like to thank everyone who came and all the contributors and sponsors, ImageNation, The Film Society of Lincoln Center, Mr. Vegas for an amazing live performance and, of course, Storm for making such an epic film for Jamaica. Fin.
