Fashion Fridays: KingstonStyle x Caribbean Fashion Week

Words by Eddie STATS Houghton, via KingstonStyle

Caribbean Fashion Week 2011 went down in Jamaica this week and our man on the street in Kingston, Biggy Biggz, has been holding his corner with comprehensive coverage of the styles upon styles moving down the runway. We’ve cherrypicked our favorites to give you an overview of the best of the best. Some names that stood out were Attitude, Julan, Matumba and Shenna Carby.Taking the long view Biggy offered us this assessment: “I think there were only a few designers that delivered at Caribbean Fashion Week this year, there were not many outstanding outfits that really got my attention. Shenna Carby–our next upcoming designer–didn’t do too bad! But I think as she goes along, she could be Jamaica’s next top fashion designer.” Feast your eyes on the following looks in no particular order and judge for yourself.
