Dread Presidents: Wyclef Jean Debuts “Election Time” Video

Words by Eddie STATS Houghon, via Boombox

If you’ve been following Haiti’s most famous native son, you know that popstar and would-be President Wyclef Jean has been mixing up art and politics lately, talking up the release (slated for December 7th) of his new LP, entitled My Haitian Experience. The latest volley has just been fired with the world premiere of the (admittedly, kinda tough) first single, “Election Time” on AOL’s boombox. Speaks for itself–watch after the jump or catch it on Clef’s blog. (Make sure you let it play ’til the end for the sneak preview of another track tacked on the end).
