Okayafrica Launch with The Roots, Talib Kweli and more: Sunday, July 11th at The Prospect Park Bandshell

We’re pleased to announce the launch of Okayafrica, Okayplayer’s new blog dedicated to all things African.  To set it off, the launch event is goin’ down as part of the Celebrate Brooklyn series at the Prospect Park Bandshell in conjunction with the last day of the South Africa 2010 World Cup.  The events boasts an impressive lineup including The Roots, Talib Kweli, Bajah + Dry Eye, Blitz The Ambassador.  The host for this mega event is Toni Award winning actor / singer / musician / dancer / quadruple threat, Sahr Ngaujah, who plays Fela in the hit Broadway, Fela!

Come out and celebrate this historical event… and say yeah yeah!
