Chinese Assassin, X-Rated
If you’re more than a casual fan of dancehall, and you don’t know who Chinese Assassin is, you’re definitely missing out on one of the most consistent crew of selectors in the dancehall scene. They are known for high-quality and high-energy mixtapes of all genres. They definitely come correct with the X-Rated mix, which features mostly dancehall with a sprinkling of pop and electro to round things out. It also doesn’t hurt that they’ve been featuring Swedish producers in their mixes from Binnie Smalls to Adde Instrumentals and Mashup International. Check the mix below.
Chromatic Sound, OVO Sound Radio Episode 4
I’ve been listening to Chromatic’s pre-Caribana set on OVO Sound Radio during my workouts last week. This mix is full of heavy dancehall vibes mixed in with some soca, pop and one ton a Popcaan tunes, as one should expect. Mixpak’s Culture Clash-winning Drake dub also makes an appearance.
