Jamaica Meets L.A. on Wear Patterns’ “Tease” Featuring Nick & Navi

Wear Patterns, an L.A.-based production trio consisting of Gene and James Bautista and Francesca Harding (formerly DJ Panamami), have teamed with Jamaican-American vocalists Nick & Navi for their debut single, “Tease.”

Twin sisters and sometimes models Nick & Navi bring a patois-laced swagger to the dance pop track, which is right on time in a year in which Rihanna, Drake and Justin Bieber, among others, have taken Caribbean rhythms back into the mainstream. The twins’ songwriting skills have recently landed them work writing for Mya and Alborosie, among others, so you can expect to hear a lot more from them in the future. The same goes for Wear Patterns, who will be releasing their self-titled EP in the fall. Listen to “Tease” below, and watch Nick & Navi’s “Stay” video here.
