Chris Martin is all about the turnup in the visuals for his new single, “I’m a Big Deal.” The Kingston-based reggae crooner, fresh off his performance at Toronto Reggae Festival and a jam-packed show at Wingate Park in Brooklyn, offers up a more carefree, youth-friendly vibe in this video than the lover’s rock anthems we’ve come to know him for. We love that he’s been taking risks on more blended R&B/reggae inspired tracks in the past couple years with records like “Chill Spot” and “Paper Loving.” Commemorating 10 years in the business since his win on Digicel’s Rising Stars series (Jamaica’s answer to American Idol) the “Cheater’s Prayer” singer recently released the Stepping Razor EP and is set to release his first LP since signing with VP Records later this year.
