Words by Jesse Serwer
Chi Ching Ching’s “Way Up Stay Up” featuring Popcaan has been running the streets in Jamaica since it dropped late last year. You could say it was the dancehall anthem of the winter. With summer knocking, the slang-coining duo have teamed up once again (This time with extra Popcaan, who featured only on the intro to “Way Up”) for a breezy anthem that’s sure to run tings on the road (and the beach) from Memorial Day through to Dream Weekend.
Besides for being a straight (Tr888!!!!) chune, pure and simple, “Nah Go Home” also marks a few firsts. It represents Ching’s arrival as the first artist signed to Popcaan’s Unruly Ent (you heard that here first), and it’s also the debut production from LargeUp family (and Chi Ching’s DJ) Silent Addy, of Eccentrix Sound.
Stream “Nah Go Home” below, purchase on iTunes here, and let summer raving begin.
