9. Tropkillaz – Badman
Brazil’s Tropkillaz are definitely pushing the envelope in this genre and are one of my favorite groups. This track is interesting in that it’s not the typical fast-paced, jump-up-and-down kind of vibe. It doesn’t bore you with the usual minute-long buildup before the drop but gets right to the point, smoothly blending a Sleng Teng-like bassline, hip-hop drums and the sampled vocals( from Ding Dong’s “Badman Forward, Badman Pullup”) into a head-nodding drop.
