Stuttgart-based Pinnacle Clothing is a German fashion label with its feet firmly planted in Jamaican culture. The brand, launched in 2008 by Benjamin Kivikoski and Sting Like A Bee Sound’s DJ Swazi, was founded to fill what its owners then saw as a hole in the market for dancehall-minded streetwear. That hole isn’t so wide anymore, as many brands taking inspiration from bashment both past and present have since popped up, but Pinnacle has kept things moving forward with new designs.
New for fall/winter 2014, their current collection includes tees inspired by reggae and dancehall artists past and present, including Garnett Silk, Super Cat, Nicodemus, Early B and Busy Signal. Popular catchprases from Chronixx (“Nah Follow Nobody”) and Alkaline (“Ever Ever Ever Clean”) are also given T-shirt form by Pinnacle, as is a classic soundclash flyer from Brooklyn’s Biltmore Ballroom featuring King Addies vs. Bodyguard Sound. A trendsetter in sustainable fashion, Pinnacle create all of their shirts, hoodies and hand bags with 100% organic cotton
