Dread and Television: Watch Chronixx Perform “Here Comes Trouble” on The Tonight Show

Words by Jesse Serwer—

Jimmy Fallon was truly, genuinely excited to have Chronixx as his guest on last night’s Tonight Show. So much so that he was talking about it days earlier, singing “Here Comes Trouble” on last Thursday’s show, asking Roots keyboardist and yardie James Poyser if he was up on the singer (C’mon James!)

Jimmy caught wind of Chronixx’s music on a recent trip to Jamaica and, from what we hear, he played a direct role in orchestrating the reggae star’s first network television appearance last night. In any case, it has happened, and here is the evidence. Watch it below, share, and, if you’re anywhere near NYC, come out to Rumsey Playfield in Central Park this Saturday from 3 to 7, and catch Chronixx live, for FREE, with Junior Reid and the Rice and Peas crew.
