EVENT: Chronixx + Junior Reid at Central Park SummerStage

Words by LargeUp Crew

LargeUp has teamed with OkayplayerFederation Sound and Rice & Peas to bring Chronixx and Zincfence Redemption, along with Junior Reid, to Central Park Summerstage in NYC on July 26th. The show, which is absolutely free, takes place from 3-7 p.m. at Rumsey Playfieled near 72nd Street and 5th Ave, and celebrates the 15th anniversary of both Okayplayer and Federation. We don’t need to remind you of the impact that Chronixx has had on reggae music over the last few years, or do we? In any case, this event is going to be huge!

With just 12 days til his Summerstage takeover, Chronixx has delivered a special message for his New York fans, taped in Astor Place while in town for last month’s Groovin in the Park concert. Watch the video below, catch our behind-the-scenes webisode with Chronixx, Monty Alexander and Ernest Ranglin after that, and enter here to win a VIP package (with reserved VIP seating, no waiting in line, and a free drink) for the big show. See you in the park on July 26th, and make sure to come early!
