Way back in March, we previewed Hollie Cook‘s upcoming sophomore full-length, Twice—the album drops next week, and you’ll be able to listen exclusively at LargeUp starting Monday. In the mean time, catch up with Cook in her most recent video, “Looking For Real Love.” The song showcases the British singer’s trademark lover’s rock/2014 dub aesthetic, with 70’s-style strings layered over a deep reggae groove courtesy of producer Prince Fatty. Cook has been killing it from the start, with a stellar debut that was LargeUp’s favorite album of 2011—her diverse influences made for a truly unique addition to the world of contemporary British reggae.
The video shows Hollie living out some colorful revenge fantasies while she sings about searching for the real thing—check it out below, and don’t forget to listen to Twice next week, right here at LargeUp.com.
