Here at LargeUp, we’re longtime supporters of Jamaica’s Alpha Boys School. The Kingston learning institution is world-renowned for its outstanding music program, which has produced some of Jamaica’s most notable musicians, from the original Skatalites band to Yellowman.
As part of its fundraising initiatives, Alpha recently launched its own fashion line, Alpha Wear JA, with some pretty cool T-shirts, handprinted by Alpha students as part of the school’s vocational training.
To spread the word about the tees, which you can buy right here on the LargeUp store, Alpha has put together a Summer 2014 Lookbook featuring current-generation reggae stars Chronixx, Kabaka Pyramid, Konshens, Christopher Martin and Sheldon Shepherd (of N0-Maddz), plus Yaadcore, Josey Wales and Alpha Boys alumni Yellowman and Leroy “Horsemouth” Wallace.
Click here to scroll through highlights from the lookbook (which includes shots by LargeUp photographers El Puru and Varun Baker), see the full lookbook here and press play below for an Alpha Wear video dubplate from Kabaka Pyramid.
