Dub In The Rainforest: I-Grade Hold a Vibes in St. Croix

Words by Kaya.lah, Photos by Rashad Martinez/Forever Kings—

High in the western mountains of St. Croix lies the largest rainforest in the Virgin Islands, a blessed setting for some critical roots music. This LargeUp exclusive called Dub in the Rainforest IV live from Mount Victory Camp is presented by I-Grade Records, and features the territory’s roots heavyweights. Pressure Buss Pipe, Niyorah, Ras Batch, Mada Nile and the father of it all, Midnite, are present at the session, which features I-Grade Dub on the wheels and local roots personality DJ Ninja P hosting.

Dub in the Rainforest IV was a mystic night which gives us some great live previews of collaborations on Midnite’s Beauty for Ashes, out today via I-Grade. The video is the first in a three-part series from the sessions produced by I-Sigh Creations, Forever Kings, & North Degree and powered by Moringa Lion. Stay tuned as LargeUp brings more from Dub in the Rainforest IV.
