EVENT: Learn Dancehall Choreography with Blacka Di Danca + Mela Murder (Major Lazer)

Words by Blacka Di Blanca

If you’ve been following me through my column “Blacka’s World,” then you know that I recently choreographed Major Lazer’s latest music video (for “Lose Themselves” featuring RDX) with the help of Mela Murder—and that choreo came out fantastic! I’ll be teaming up yet again with Mela to teach my only dancehall class for the month of January in NYC, Friday, Jan. 10 at DANY Studios in Manhattan.

Mela Murder is currently one of Major Lazer’s official dancers, touring with the group around the world — we recently tore up the stage at Pier 94 in NYC this past weekend. You definitely don’t want to miss this class, as we’ll be teaching you choreography to a dope Major Lazer track, in addition to the best and coolest steps from Jamaica.

The class is from 8 to 10pm, and costs $20 per student. Only limited space is available, so RSVP with Blackadidanca@gmail.com. DANY Studios is located at 305 west 38th St. between 8th and 9th aves.
