Still Blazing: Red Fox + Cocotaxi’s “Hot Like Fiya” Remixes (LargeUp Premiere)

Words by Deejay Theory —

For all the mogglers out there. If you’re a regular visitor to LargeUp then you already know that we rate Red Fox to the maximum. The veteran dancehall deejay sounds fresh and clean as ever on his single “Hot Like Fiya” with Sweden producers Cocotaxi that’s been steadily mashing dances and radio worldwide. The original was released via Serocee‘s label Jambrum Records, and now we bring you the remixxx.

There’s an all-European lineup on the remix treatment, excluding one from this guy. I ended up staying pretty true to the original, charging up the BPMs and keeping it dancehall to the fullest. The EP also offers different kinda bashy vibes from jungle to bass courtesy of Hat & Hoodie, MIR Crew, Makks, and a vocal remix from Mr. Serocee himself. And there’s a couple of free downloads in there as well from LiedersOfTheNewSchool and MIR Crew again. If you love dancehall in all its forms this one is ready to go. Be sure to keep it locked on LargeUp for our upcoming mixtape with Red Fox in collaboration with Sweden’s top soundsystem Safari dropping very soon. Madd exclusives and new material on that one so hold tight.

Preview the “Hot Like Fiya” Remix EP below or better yet cop it right here.
