It’s been a while since we’ve heard something new from Pressure Buss Pipe. For his latest tune, the St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands-repping reggae singjay best known for 2005’s massive one-drop hit, “Love and Affection,” surprises us with some ruff and tuff ganja lyrics over the spare, hip-hop beat from Drake’s “Started From the Bottom.”
A video for the freestyle also has a hip-hop aesthetic (wish someone would upload a better quality version) that’s in stark contrast to the usual sunny images of the Virgin Islands we’re used to seeing. Stream/download “No Bush Weed Over Ere” and catch the video below. And for another reggae flip on “Started from the Bottom,” check Gappy Ranks’ “Gary Lineker.”
