You may recall Mr. Vegas and Jovi Rockwell’s “Can’t Stop” as one of the standout tracks from Major Lazer’s Guns Don’t Kill People, Lazers Do album. The tune offered a sweet, unexpected slice of vintage Studio One style amidst the album’s aggro punk rock dancehall vibes, and, by God, it just worked. For Vegas’ upcoming Sweet Jamaica album (stream more tunes here!), he’s gone ahead and recorded a new version of “Can’t Stop” with a live band replacing the Nora Dean “Barbwire” sample and we might even like this one even better.
