Havana Club: Gilles Peterson x Cuba

Speaking of Havana, UK rare groove and new soul champion Gilles Peterson recently announced the imminent release of a sequel to his Havana Cultura project highlighting sounds from Cuba. Dropping November 14th, Havana Cultura: The Search Continues will actually be a 2-disc affair this time out, disc 1 comprising original recording recorded by Gilles’ hand-picked Havana Cultura band and disc 2 being a compilation of songs by other new Cuban artists.  Comparing the two Gilles says in the online trailer/micro-doc: “two years later, I’ve had a chance to digest more contemporary Cuban music, and be more involved in it…I think it’s closer to what’s going on here…” Watch below and stay tuned for more.
