On Fire Sound, Workin’ Hard: Switzerland’s On Fire Sound drop some hot lava on their brand new Workin’ Hard mix. Right out the gate you’re treated to specials from Tarrus Riley, Jah Vinci and the big bad J Boog, on last year’s wicked and hugely slept-on Major/Minor riddim. Calli B, Summer Swaggin: If you’re looking for a real authentic dancehall mix for the summer, look no further than Calli B‘s Summer Swaggin. 99 tracks of dancehall heat (why not just make it an even 100?) mixed live and uncut from New York City. You can find Calli running dances all around NY, and also live on Irie Jam Radio 93.5 on Fridays from 8-10.  Download here.

Bud. E. Green, Kushvision: Massachusetts’ own Bud. E. Green is no stranger to reggae music. Being from MA myself, I’ve seen his likeness pop up in various circles over the years, so it was no surprise to see his new mix Kushvision a/k/a “Like I See It” landing in my inbox. What’s most notable about this mix is that it’s recorded live—as in no multitracking or studio tools—minus any chatter, drops or sound effects. As Bud. DJ Maya, Reggae Lovers Rock: One of NYC’s best kept secrets is undoubtedly Brooklyn’s DJ Maya. She may seem sweet, but don’t get it twisted: she can run dances with the biggest DJs in the game without breaking a sweat, or a nail. Reggae Lovers Rock is pretty straightforward: an hour-plus mix of lovers tunes to get you in the mood for the club, or something more intimate. Although it’s from some months back, we gotta show our love to the one DJ Maya.
