Hipster Homecoming: Vashtie and Theophilus in Trinidad

Words by Eddie STATS Houghton, Images by Vashtie Kola

Two of our favorite trendsetting trinis, downtown ranking sweetheart Vashtie Kola and avant MC Theophilus London got in touch with their roots recently, heading down to T&T for Trinidad Fashion Week. Luckily for us, Vashtie has been recording it all for posterity on her blog. We reposted a few our personal joints below but check her latest dispatches for all the pics of V&T parring with Tyson Beckford, flossing on Trinidadian TV and documenting every saltfish, doubles cart and roti shop Port of Spain has to offer–and stay tuned for the official Fashion Week recap from the mayor of Trinidad’s hip strip, our own Mr. Jillionaire Juice!
