This Thursday night in Miami we’re celebrating the 15th anniversary of Federation Sound, at one of our favorite venues, Blackbird Ordinary. If you’re in the 305, you should be there, too. Cham,Wayne Wonder and Chi Ching Ching (plus a few special guests we’re not at liberty to name) will be performing, while Federation, the Rice and Peas crew, Eccentrix Sound and Corey Chase will bring the sound. Miss Likklebit will even be there to hold things down on the dancing tip. (Check out more info here).

Tickets are for sale here but, if you were at our last Miami bashment, you know this one’s gonna be rammm, so we’re offering you an opportunity to make sure you don’t. We’re giving away a VIP package with free admission, plus a drink ticket, for you and a friend, and copies of the Federation 15, for you and a friend. To enter, post the flyer (above) to your Instagram, with the hashtag #Federatio15Miami and lyrics to your favorite song by either Cham, Wayne or Ching, by Wednesday at 5 p.m.

It was a few weeks ago that we first told you about the party in Miami we’re throwing along with Federation Sound to celebrate their 15th anniversary. At the time, all we could reveal about the event, happening at Blackbird Ordinary on May 22, was the stacked DJ lineup consisting of Federation’s Max Glazer and Kenny Meez; DJ Gravy, Orijahnal Vibez and Micro Don of the Rice and Peas crew ; Silent Addy and Keemcentrix of Eccentrix Sound; and Corey Chase.

Earlier this summer, LargeUp celebrated the rising of the Supermoon with a Reggae Sunday Sunset Session at New York’s exclusive Soho House. Featuring a live performance from Sister Nancy of “Bam Bam” and “One Two,” the event was a unique opportunity to bring authentic dancehall vibes to one of New York’s most exclusive locations, and is still being talked about by nearly everyone who was there.

This past Sunday, LargeUp celebrated the rising of the “Supermoon” with a special Reggae Sunday Sunset Session at an NYC location so top secret, we can’t even disclose the name of it. (Our New York massive can probably make the ID from the pics, though). Guests at the event, which featured a live performance from dancehall legend Sister Nancy sounds from DJ Gravy, Micro Don, DJ Select and Ras Tayo of Twin Sounds, included Ricky Blaze, Sahr Ngaujah (from the casts of Fela and Last Resort), Bajah from the Dry Eye Crew, dancers Blacka di Danca, Lindsay HallKorie GeniusSaRiri, Soroya Lundy, Ai Wakabayashi and Shernita So Fly. Of course, Emily, Mikaila, Kieran, Winifred, Dre and Spliffington and the LargeUp crew was there in full effect—and so were Japanese media.
