It’s Labor Day Weekend here in the states, which means if you’re in NYC you should most certainly find yourself raving in the streets at the annual West Indian Day Parade on Eastern Parkway. Vybz Kartel x Jugglerz Sound, Bars From Behind Bars Volume 2: Shotta Paul, Meska and the Jugglerz team out in Stuttgart unleashed a special installment in their Jugglerz Radio program to salute the still reigning and undisputed Worl’ Boss of dancehall music and culture Vybz Kartel aka Addi Innocent. Barely scratching the surface of his 30+ year sentence, Kartel still runs every lane in dancehall from behind bars thanks to hundreds of unreleased songs, a timeless back catalog of hits, and what many believe are current iPhone recordings from the confines of his cell. Dei Musicale, Summer Soca Sampler 2015: It wouldn’t be an official Labor Day Weekend post without at least one soca selection in the mix, and for that we head down to T&T to par with Dei Musicale for the treatment.
