DELLY-RANX-SWEET-REGGAE

Delly Ranx has been a major factor in dancehall music for years. Though he may be best known for his production work, which includes the groundbreaking Redbull & Guinness riddim (the basis for tracks such as Mavado’s “Weh Dem Ah Do”) with Stephen McGregor, he’s been a consistent factor as a deejay for years. Sweet Reggae is Delly’s fifth album and, while much of the LP follows with vintage reggae throwbacks, the album also mixes in a healthy dose of dancehall as well, rounding up all of Delly’s recent appearances, including “Juggle Me A Juggle” (on Mr. Vegas’ Protector riddim) and “Silly Billy” (on ZJ Liquid’s Good Book riddim).

Stream the album here, buy it on iTunes here, and catch the video for the title track (which features a skanking Yellowman, alongside Delly in that ubiquitous badman video accessory, the mesh marina) below.
