Following some holiday weekend settings in the States, we’re back to work this Monday with new music and vibes. Brand new dancehall meets conscious classics and new takes on old versions in this week’s mixtape roundup. Press play below:

Wildlife!, #Dancehall101 Vol.2: Brand new essential summer mix from the Swiss homie Wildlife! who follows up Vol.1 of his Dancehall 101 series with another boomshell. Stepping out with a nice selection of the moody and melancholic wave that dancehall is riding right now — see “V.S.O.P” from the leading chargie Popcaan — we soon dip into a heap of new music from Alkaline, Konshens, Vybz Kartel, Dexta Daps, I-Octane, Busy, Mavado and many more. Easy pick for your dancehall fix this week. Stream and download below, tracklist here.

African Storm, Reggae Loves Africa: In celebration of the forthcoming Reggae Loves Africa compilation on deck from VP Records comes the preview mix from the mighty African Storm soundsystem straight from Johannesburg. The mix features re-issued heartical roots music from Luciano, Tony Rebel, Natural Blacks, Tarrus Riley, Queen Ifrica, Freddie McGregor, Buju, Beres and more, all showing love and dedication for Africa. Look out for the album July 15th, stream and download the mix below, tracklist here.

Jemere Morgan x Platinum Kids, Jukebox Mixtape: Nice and sweet vibes to wrap up the week from the voice of Atlanta/Brooklyn’s Jemere Morgan in combination with the Bronx’s Platinum Kids at the controls. As son of Gramps Morgan and a nephew in the Morgan Heritage family tree there’s a bit of weight on Jemere’s shoulders when it comes to the music business, but it sounds like he’s ready to take on the world with this mix running smooth lyrics over throwback roots riddims.
