Kush Morning Mix Front

With the large cloud of smoke from yesterday’s 420 mania still settling, we’re keeping it rolling at Mixtape Mondays. Whether you’re recovering from your first dab session or a seasoned participant—or even if you abstained from the day’s activities— we got you as always. Get nice below with a bag of new roots and one drop that requires no heavy lifting …

LargeUp Premiere: Tribe of Kings x Bobby Hustle, Kush Morning: Keeping the most irie-est of vibes in the rotation this Monday, we were just passed the latest boom shot from our pals in San Diego at the Tribe of Kings camp. In combination with the big bad Bobby Hustle from the Dynasty Records family in Seattle, they bring you Kush Morning — a cornucopia of ganja-infused selections, dubs, brand new and unreleased tune from Hustle, and more high grade cuts from the man like Dash Eye at the controls. Stream, download and pass it on below, tracklist here.

Project Groundation x Ziggi Recado, Theraputic Megamix: We had to include this exclusive preview from the homie DJ Child and his mighty Project Groundation Massive featuring the solid-as-a-rock combination of artists and producers in the Zion High and Zion I Kings collectives. This is a small taste from Dutch Caribbean reggae champion Ziggi Recado, who gives you a taste of his strong upcoming project Theraputic via this quick mix. Look out for the full length album dropping May 20th. Stream below:

Jah9, For the Love of Kush: An artist on the tip of everyone’s tongue amongst the new roots revival is Kington-based songstress Jah9. A fierce and heartfelt voice in modern roots music, Jah9 blessed everyone yesterday with this intense mixtape, broadcasting a devout love and appreciation for the hola herb through music from Kingston Dub Club resident Gabre Selassie, and reasonings from University of the West Indies Mona lecturer Dr. K’adamawe K’nife. In a much more educational light than your standard reggae mixtape, this serves as more of a conversation, going deep into ganja’s sacred and spiritual uses, to practical and industrial applications in our everyday lives. Bringing some real meaning to the term “hold a meds” with this one. Download link and stream via youtube below…
