With WMC at a close and Carnival time in Jamaica rapidly approaching, the vibes don’t stop at Mixtape Mondays. Some untouchable dubplates are paired with brand new soca and a bit of one drop from memory lane. Wheel up below

Youthman Promotion, Strictly Dubplates Vol.1: This is a big one. The original foundation sound Youthman Promotion birthed by the invincible Sugar “Booga” Minott gifts us with a rare studio mix of dubplates from their fabled dub boxes, spanning over three decades of soundsystem history. Obviously nuff Sugar tunes on there along with a heap of his peers and associates who share legacies and timeless moments in reggae music of their own, and a few of the iconic artists they discovered first. Of course you won’t be seeing a tracklist but downloading is a quick and easy yes this Monday. Stream and grab it below.

J-Lava, Soca Fix 2014: If you’re still in recovery from T&T Carnival or just praying it would never end, we got you covered like paint with the latest from J-Lava of Dei Musicale outta Trinidad and Jamaica, respectively. The duo just touched Jamaica in preparation for Bacchanal 2014 and sent this one out just in time with a solid two hours of brand new soca to recover from one fete and get ready for the next just to remind you the pahty far from dun… Stream and download below, tracklist here.

Perfect Giddimani, Back to Black Mixtape: Gearing up for the release of his forthcoming album Better Off Dread is the one Perfect Giddimani, formerly known as Mr. Perfect, or just Perfect. Although we haven’t heard too much from the singer as of late, he’s got a string of big conscious tunes to his credit, and they’ve all been rounded up here on this mix of cuts from ’04-’08 to re-familiarize the people. Strictly roots in the catalog, and same way with the new album coming April 15th from Jah Youth Productions. Stream and below, download here, tracklist here.
